General Meetings

GMKC is an AKC member club that was founded in 1972.   Our mission is to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs, to protect and advance the interests of all breeds of purebred dogs and to encourage good sportsmanship at dog shows and other dog events.  

Membership is open to anyone 18 years or older who is in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who supports the purposes of the Club.  

Club events and activities include:

* Annual All-Breed Dog Show
* Annual AKC sanctioned match
* Free to membership conformation handling classes
* Public Education Programs
* Canine Good Citizen Testing
* Support of local law enforcement canines units
* Microchip clinics

Meetings of the Club are held in the Murfreesboro area on the 1st Monday of the month, March through December.
